Me lleno de orgullo al presentar ante ustedes este disco doble de la legendaria banda MEGADETH (que considero no necesita mayores presentaciones).

Este concierto fue grabado en Buenos Aires en el Stadium Obras el 09 de octubre de 2005, como parte de la gira "Blackmail the Universe Tour". Son dos discos con lo más clásico del repertorio de Dave Mustaine & Cia., combinado con temas de el disco que promocionaban en ese momento "The System Has Failed"

HYPOCRISY - THE FINAL CHAPTER

Continuando con la discografía de esta excelente banda sueca, traemos hoy ante ustedes su 5° disco de estudio editado en 1997 y titulado "The Final Chapter". A decir verdad, en ese momento Peter Tägtgren, vocalista, guitarrista y lider de la banda, se cansó de hacerlo todo por sí mismo, así que este disco tenía la intención de rendirle honor a su nombre: ser el último capítulo en la historia de Hypocrisy. Sin embargo, una excelente respuesta de los fanáticos, su apoyo incondicional, así como el compromiso de los demás miembros de la banda a la hora de componer, hicieron que la historia de HYPOCRISY no quedara en el olvido.

THERION: LIVE GOTHIC + PROMO VIDEO

A manera de "bautizo" aquí en ANGELS HOLOCAUST (por ser mi primer post) decidí subir una novedad recien salida del horno. El tercer disco en vivo, y el decimocuarto de la carrera musical de la influyente e importante banda sueca de Symphonic Metal, THERION.

En este "Live Gothic" podremos encontrar temas de todos sus discos de estudio, haciendo énfasis en su último trabajo "Gothic Kabbalah", y descuidando un poco temas de su grandioso "Secret of the Runes". Como punto final, nos traen un excelente cover de Manowar.

Antes de empezar, quiero dar la bienvenida a nuestro nuevo colaborador LAZARUS_LEPROSY, quien en los próximos días se unirá al staff de ANGELS HOLOCAUST: BIENVENIDO AL AVERNO!

Con buenísimas subidas como siempre, en esta ocasión me permito compartir con los lectores esta excelente banda representativa de la escena sueca Death metalera: Con ustedes HYPOCRISY y su cuarto álbum de estudio "Abducted" editado en 1996, disco bastante importante si consideramos que el mismo marcó un improtante cambio en la dirección musical de la banda, pasando de un Death Metal veloz, a sonidos más melódicos.

Feigning to be what one is not is something Renaissance man Peter Tägtgren can never be accused of. A living embodiment of music (who has also appeared in three films and written music for one), Tägtgren has been a central and active figure in the extreme metal movement for over a decade. With a list of Abyss Studio production credits (Dimmu Borgir, Immortal, Marduk) linking him to some of the most groundbreaking albums of recent times and rightfully hailed by Alternative Press as “the Rick Rubin of Scandinavian metal,” the restless genius of Peter Tägtgren can be equally measured by the vast list of his own musical output. A well-known insomniac workaholic who lives life at a relentless pace, the vice of Tägtgren’s work ethic has proven to be virtuous for the underground scene. 2005’s Virus boasts a lethal combination of reptilian vocals, powerful percussion, grandiose atmospherics, and symphonic requiems, truly revisiting all previous parts of the HYPOCRISY catalogue. Once Virus infects you with its beautifully brutal and painstakingly produced music, a worldwide pandemic is inevitable.

After closing the door on his band Seditious following their 3- and 5-song Life Of Pain demos, guitarist Tägtgren formed HYPOCRISY in Sweden as a quintet in the early ‘90s after having briefly lived in Florida in the late ‘80s – and occasionally drumming for Malevolent Creation. The inaugural line-up included Masse Broberg on vocals, Mikael Hedlund on bass, Jonas Osterberg on guitar, and Lars Szöke on drums.

ADORNED BROOD - ERDENKRAFT

En esta ocasión me permito compartir con todos ustedes el 4° trabajo discográfico de la banda alemana "Adorned Brood", titulado "Erdenkraft", lanzado en el año 2002. Para variar un poco el contenido del blog, en esta ocasión traigo para ustedes esta excelente banda de Folk / Viking Metal para que disfruten de los agradables sonidos que nos traen los vientos del norte.

After the foundation in 1993, Adorned Brood recorded two demotapes on their own. A little german label called “Folter Records” got interested in the musical mixture of Heavy Metal, magic clean sounds and folkloristic influences. Therefore the talented band got the chance to record their first studio album “Hiltia” in 1996. The feedback on the first album was awesome, and soon they recorded an new masterpiece, called Wigand 1998. Because of its limitations to 1000 pieces each, today both albums are rare to find and fans pay up to 90,00 Euros in Interent-auctions.



Disagreements with recordlabels and line up changes were dominating the following years, but also forged the band together in their will to carry on.

Finally, under „Moonstorm Records“ Adorned Brood grew up to one of Germany’s most famous undergroand pagan metal acts. With their third album “Asgard” (2000), Adorned Brood released a milestone in the german pagan underground scene. With rising success, a cooperation with Lead singer Erik Hecht from Subway to Sally led to a together recorded song on Adorned Broods fourth album “Erdenkraft” in 2002.

3 INCHES OF BLOOD - BATTLECRY UNDER A WINTER SUN

Continuando con las primeras subidas en "Angels Holocaust" traigo para todos ustedes el primer disco de esta banda Canadiense de Power / Speed Metal editado en el año 2002 y titulado "Battlecry under a Winter Sun"

The group formed in 2000 in Vancouver, initially playing straight, eighties’ style heavy metal in the vein of bands such as Running Wild and Judas Priest, before the addition of heavy vocalist Cam Pipes and the recording of their debut album Battlecry Under a Winter Sun in 2002 on the Teenage Rampage label. This release went by almost unnoticed until the band’s UK distribution label decided to put them on as a support slot for a tour with platinum rock band The Darkness. This exposure gained them much critical attention and acclaim in the world of underground metal, and they were signed up by big-label subsidiary Roadrunner Records in 2004. Roadrunner put out an advertising blitz, and the track Deadly Sinners from the band’s sophomore release Advance and Vanquish appeared on numerous sampler CDs, compilations and even a video game (Tony Hawk’s Underground 2) creating a huge press hype for the band that caused their popularity to skyrocket, with a slot on 2005’s Road Rage tour gaining them many new fans.

The band’s over-the-top lyrical style and high-pitched (which were based on the vocals of the band The Winter Massacre), Halford-esque vocals, combined with their appearance in official photos, which owes more to modern “scene” fashion and clothing labels such as Atticus, have lead some to dub them as a parody of the classic heavy metal acts they claim to seek to give tribute to. When questioned on this, vocalist Cam Pipes gave the following statement: “Just because we’re a bunch of young guys singing about the greatness of heavy metal doesn’t mean we’re some joke band.” .

DARK TRANQUILLITY - FICTION

La primera subida de este blog tenía que ser de gran calidad, así que nada mejor que una de las bandas co-fundadoras del denominado "Gothenburg Death Metal" y su 8° y más reciente trabajo discográfico titulado "Fiction"


In 1993, Anders Fridén, the original lead vocalist, left the band to join In Flames. Mikael Stanne, formerly playing rhythm guitar became the vocalist, with Fredrik Johansson taking over the guitars. Mikael also recorded vocals with In Flames. However, contrary to popular belief, he was never a full member of that band; he was a session vocalist and sang to help out the members of In Flames.

In 1998, before the release of the album Projector, Johannson left the band. Keyboardist Martin Brändström and bassist Michael Nicklasson were added to the line-up, and Martin Henriksson switched to the guitar. This album was nominated for a Swedish Grammy Award. Their next albums were Haven (2000), Damage Done (2002), Character (2005) and Fiction (2007).

Dark Tranquillity is known to be a pioneer of the Gothenburg Metal sound alongside bands such as At the Gates and In Flames. Anders Jivarp has been the drummer since the band was formed.
